Back to the Frequencies dialog box, click on Charts to get illustrating pictures for the data analysis. Unlike categorical data, click on Histograms for scale data and tick the little box underneath it. Carefully observe that the Chart Values have become Gray (meaning inaccessible) because Frequency and Percent are only needed for categorical variables. Click Continue .

In the Frequency dialog box, by default the Display frequency tables are ticked but frequency tables with scale data are terribly unsatisfying but it can be fixed with Visual Binning. For continuous data, options under Format , Style and Bootstrap in the Frequencies dialog box are not needed. Click OK to run the descriptive Statistics on the Output Viewer. The Output viewer will display the numbers of the distributions, with the option you selected. Scroll down the result to view the histogram chart.
